Guest speaking about sustainability at the CACCI conference in Singapore
So happy to have been invited as a speaker for the panel discussion "Sustainable and Resilient Business in Asia Pacific" at the 38th CACCI conference & Asia-Pacific Forum together with representatives from Asian Development Bank (ADB), EY, Huawei, Asia Limited and Rothman & Roman Group!
I am happy that my little start-up that I created 10 years in my kitchen has become the recognition internationally. Even though we are a small company from Mongolia with the aim to provide people with natural skincare products, our vision is big and we have always from day one prioritized sustainability. It is not just something fancy or a must-do thing for us - but something we value intrinsically and feel is needed for today's world.
We launched 7 years ago Mongolia's first zero waste corner where people can come with their own containers and get their favorite body oil, facial oils refilled; prioritized the use of recycled paper, have a zero waste production and also use fresh yak and goat's milk directly from the herders, allowing them to have constant additional family income. We take back packaging and give discounts to all those who did it and use recycled paper for our gift baskets. Also, all our products are hand made by women and increased sales means increased employment by adding more people. We fundamentally believe that if all companies, small and big as well as private people lead with sustainability at their core, we can all make a huge impact.
Thank you again CACCI for having me speak about Lhamour's experience. Having a small company also at the table and hearing their voice and their insight is important.
Love,
Khulan
