As the founder of LHAMOUR, I wanted to share with you the vision I had when I first started. At first, it was very simple: find a solution for my own problem. Then it started to become bigger: make an impact on other people’s lives and the society at large.
In 2012, I came back to Mongolia to work for Mongolia’s first wind farm company after having lived in the States and Europe for many years. I slowly started to develop allergies due to the negative external effects such as air pollution, low quality of water and extreme climate, which was a great shock to me because I never had allergies and having skin rashes truly affected my daily life. I began to wonder what to do. Since I never had skin problems, it never occurred to me that the skin is so important. It is the mirror of our health and it was truly making me understand so many things. I consulted with doctors and they advised me that I should at least use mild natural products since I cannot change the negative external affects. But, I could not find anything. Either it was imported and not really natural or it was low quality. I thus, started thinking about products in general, started looking at the ingredient lists and started understanding what it truly means to use natural products. What started out as a question regarding my own problem, turned into passion, as it inspired me to learn about the skin and effects that products have on it. I started getting deeper into it and then decided to pursue it professionally by enrolling in Formula Botanica, the world's leading accredited online Organic Cosmetic Science School and became a professional skin care product formulator. I moved quickly onto the advanced diploma and soon started making products for myself using Mongolian ingredients. I started at home and made products that I wished to use myself. I then started giving out to friends and family, who in fact had similar skin problems such as mine. It later turned out that the majority of people 1) have allergies as well 2) do not know what kind of skin type they are 3) do not understand products well enough to decide on which ones are suiting them 4) believe in myths about skin care and have very wrong skin routines 5) do not feel that the skin is that important.
Therefore, I decided that I want to use my passion for solving my own skin problems together with the professional background that I acquired and the opportunity of using amazing unique raw materials in Mongolia and start my journey of entrepreneurship. Thus, I hope you can see that LHAMOUR is based on love. The philosophy of loving yourself and taking care of yourself, loving others and sharing knowledge and passion as well as loving the environment. It has my niece’s name LHAMO in it, because eventually what we do now will affect our next generation and thus, by being a social impact business, we want to show the future generation that we need to take care of each other and mother nature as well.

|WHY HAND MADE MATTERS||
When products are handmade, they are full of love. Have you ever studied the work space of a person who creates for a living? Their creations are almost always made in a space of joy, honor, and respect. Those same values somehow find their way into the very aspect of a handmade item.
When you make something, you leave a part of yourself in it. When you are finished creating, you take pride in the work partly because you see yourself in it. When you buy something someone else made, you yourself are reflected in that purchase. Whether it’s the color, the texture, the shape, or just the mood you happen to be in, an item that has been crafted as an expression of the creative spirit person who made it is treasured and valued far beyond an item that was made for worldly mass consumption.
|SOCIAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP||Too many companies give back to their communities (or some not at all) once they have reached a certain profit level. We want to make a social change through every aspect of our business. We want to show the young generation that it is possible to start from zero and become a global brand when they do things the most sustainable way. Social entrepreneurship is the use of start-up companies and other entrepreneurs to develop, fund and implement solutions to social, cultural, or environmental issues. And we want to create this social change along the whole value chain that we are creating, starting from the employment of the women, to the raw materials from the herders to the mentorship programs we do for the youth.
Climate change is affecting everyone around the world and it is time that we all try our best to minimize our effects on it. Especially manufacturers need to start working together with customers to communicate about environmental pollution and come up with solutions. LHAMOUR has been actively promoting recycled paper usage and has called for other companies to do the same. We have products such as our own hand made recycled paper baskets that can be used instead of other synthetic baskets. We have introduced a zero waste corner in our flagship stores where people can buy natural soaps and body oils without packaging, so that the customer can also contribute to environmentally friendliness.
|HIGH QUALITY INGREDIENTS||Ingredients are the fundamental foundations of our brand. Without our ingredients, we could not provide you with products that are good for people with skin conditions and dry skin. We source high quality ingredients that are unique to Mongolia such as sea buckthorn, rose hip, sheep tail fat oil, thyme and nettle due to its amazing properties for the skin. We use fresh goat’s and yak’s milk, something that a few brands around the world could say. We use our own patented formulations and combine unique Mongolian ingredients with internationally acknowledged ingredients to truly give the skin the nourishment it deserves. Our ingredients are our pride.
